COVID-19 Protocol

Last updated: September 24, 2021

General

In order to protect our neighbors and each other, the following procedures should be observed for all upcoming public in-person AAWE events:

  • It is necessary to present the “pass sanitaire” for all in-person cultural, social, and leisure activities in public spaces (a list of spaces concerned is available at the following link: https://www.associations.gouv.fr/associations-et-crise-du-covid-19-la-foire-aux-questions.html
  • AAWE is responsible for monitoring the “pass sanitaire” at public events it organizes; if venue staff is not available to monitor the pass, volunteers should be assigned ahead of time, and the names, date, and time they are responsible for monitoring the pass should be recorded. Volunteers will need to download the application “TousAntiCovid Vérif” ahead of time. More details about this process are available at the following link: https://www.associations.gouv.fr/associations-et-crise-du-covid-19-la-foire-aux-questions.html
  • Participants should RSVP to host
  • Recommend keeping doors and windows open to ensure ventilation
  • For indoor events, follow mask wearing and social distancing guidelines as recommended by the venue (mask wearing may not be necessary if a pass sanitaire is required to access the space)
  • Please stay home if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or are a “cas contact”

In addition, the following procedures are required for AAWE events held at the office:

  • Sign in and sign out at the front desk of the American Center upon arrival and departure
  • Follow signage within the American Center
  • No more than 1 person in the elevator at the same time
  • Mask wearing (covering mouth, chin, and nose) in common areas of the American Center and in the AAWE office
  • Social distancing (at least 1 meter distance between individuals, hand washing, ventilation, avoid hand-shaking or “bises”)
  • Recommend turning on TousAntiCovid app
  • Maximum number of people in the office at the same time limited based on current government recommendations (as of September 22, up to 9 people at one time)

These recommendations are based on current French government guidelines, as of September 16, 2021. As the public health situation is subject to change rapidly, please consult the links below to verify current regulations before planning large public events.
