I Remember Better When I Paint

Join us for a program on Alzheimer's, featuring a documentary, a panel discussion and a family support group

Thursday March 14, 2019 from 7-8:30pm at the American Church in Paris, 65 quai d'Orsay 75007. RSVP

The Senior Committee of AAWE will host a public screening of "I Remember Better When I Paint" in the presence of the co-director and AAWE member Berna Huebner.
On this occasion, we will announce the launch of an English-speaking support group under the auspices of France Alzheimer’s in Paris.
The documentary, “I Remember Better When I Paint”, narrated by Olivia de Havilland, is the first international documentary about the positive impact of art and other creative therapies on people with Alzheimer’s and how these approaches can change the way we look at memory impairment. Among those featured are noted doctors and Yasmin Aga Khan, president of Alzheimer’s Disease International and daughter of Rita Hayworth, who had Alzheimer’s.
Thanks to initiatives like “I Remember Better When I Paint”, museums have improved access and inclusion for people with memory impairment.
